Government Initiatives

The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce is a respected community leader and works with local governments to promote a healthy economy. The Government Initiative Committee keeps abreast of government policies and programs, weighs in with elected officials and advocates on behalf of the members on issues that affect the business community. The committee relies on the expertise of Chamber member volunteers. The committee has taken advocacy positions on local initiatives, local tax measures and state/local legislative proposals. The committee organizes legislative breakfasts, election forums and local impact seminars and discussions such as: infrastructure committee, property tax impacts and maintaining a safe work place.
